The Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons is a Canada wide organization offering boating safety courses, including power and sail navigation courses as well as Canadian Coast Guard accredited boating courses, leading to the Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC), popularly known as the Boat Licence. CPS also offers VHF Radio courses leading to the Restricted Operator Certificate, ROC(M), which includes the new Digital Selective Calling endorsement ( DSC and GMDSS )

Since 1938, the volunteer trainers of Canada's largest association of boating enthusiasts have offered safe boating courses at convenient locations in cities and towns across Canada.

FALL Boating Courses

The courses will start on September 14th with : New Boating Course, Boatpro, DSC/VHF Radio, Seamanship (replaces old Piloting) and Advanced Piloting. Times and cost of courses to be determined commensurate with the numbers involved.

We are looking into offering a seminar on advanced rope work where you will learn the art of whipping, splicing and some new knot techniques.
